Lexington is a full hour east of our shop, and we make that trip on purpose. It is the second-largest city in Kentucky, and a market we treat as core rather than as an outlying area we occasionally reach.

Most of what brings people to us in Fayette County is a bathroom that has stopped working for the household — an unused tub, a shower that is hard to step into, grout that will not stay clean. Those are one-day installations. We also do full kitchen remodels with custom 1951 Cabinetry, which is a longer project with a schedule we set out up front.

You are based near Louisville — do you actually come to Lexington?
Yes. Lexington is about an hour east on I-64 and it is a market we serve deliberately, not an occasional exception. We also cover the communities between the two cities, including Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Midway, and Georgetown.
Does the drive change the price?
No. You get the same quote a Louisville homeowner would, for the same products and the same crew. What we save by not carrying national franchise overhead is worth considerably more than the fuel.
Do you handle the older homes around downtown and Ashland Park?
Older houses are usually a better fit for our work, not a worse one. The constraint we look for is the plumbing and the footprint of the existing room. If your project needs the layout reconfigured or the plumbing relocated, that is a longer job than a one-day install and we will say so at the consultation rather than after we have started.
